derpy's script loader is a mod that aims to take away all the annoying parts of making script mods for Bully: Scholarship Edition. It uses an entirely new script loader that doesn't rely on replacing any files in Scripts.img, but instead loads mods from its own folder. Not only does it help make the development and installation of script mods easier, but it gives scripts a lot more control over the game.
Why should I care as a player?
Instead of having to replace some file in Scripts.img every time you want to install some script, you can just dump it into the new scripts folder. Or if you have multiple mods at once, it is as easy as dumping them all into that very same folder. Not only does it make it easier to play, but you'll have access to mods that make use of all the extra functionality derpy's script loader provides.
Why should I care as a modder?
Normally you will just be out of luck and stuck to guessing why your script failed if there is a run time error, and you'd have to re-compile your script and restart the game to try again. Well now, you can just put scripts directly into the new scripts folder and have it run from source without the need to compile. Then if there is an error, you'll see it right in the new console by pressing ~. Once you alt+tab and modify your scripts, you'll be able to come right back to the console and type in something like restart my_mod to give it another try. Last but certainly not least, you'll have access to nearly 200 extra functions that give you fine control over your custom scripts, let you draw anywhere on the screen, setup your own console commands, make custom callback functions to influence game behavior in ways not normally possible, query keyboard state, and so many other things that are way too numerous to list here.
Requires v1.200!
This mod only works on version 1.200. If you're using Steam it should already be updated, otherwise use BullyPC_EFIGS_PatchTo_v1200.exe.
