About this mod

Don't have the time or the patience to Git Gud? I got you covered!

Someone say that Dark Souls 3 is the easier Souls game, some other say that is the harder. Either way, not everyone has the time or the patience to actually master the gameplay, so I decided to make this mod to aid those people. So, what does this mod make? It's easy!

By default, it will lower the damage taken by enemies and conversely will boost the damage you deal, while also increasing the souls amount you get. Mind you, though: even though this mod is designed to make Dark Souls 3 more accessible to a wider range of people, who otherwise wouldn't have the patience to even try to play the game (and that's totally fine) I strongly encourage you to play without this mod, at some point, and to actually master the game by normal means. In the end it's up to you; what this mod does is just to give an easier kickstarter.

So, what does this mod offers, exactly? There are three difficulty presets to chose, namey Easy, Very Easy, Ultra Easy. Each will modify your game as follows:

-Easy:+25% soul gain, -25% damage taken, +25% damage done
-VeryEasy: +50% soul gain, -50% damage taken, +50% damage done
-UltraEasy: +75% soul gain, -75% damage taken, +75% damage done

You can chose whichever you like, but only use one at the time.

All the above changes have been carried over to every NG cycle, keeping the same balance of the main game. Which, in other words, means that if an enemy did 100 damage with a sword strike and gave 1000 souls upon dying, while dealing 200 damage and giving 2000 souls in NG+, if you use, say, the ultra easy version of this mod that same enemy will inflict 25 damage and give 1750 souls on standard game, and will deal 50 damage with 3500 souls given upon death in NG+. Same goes for NG+2 onwards.

HOWTO INSTALL

There are three methods, as always. The first and most recommended one is to drop the Data0.bdt inside your DS III Mod Engine folder, which typically would be located inside your Dark Souls III root folder, where the .exe file is located. For example, mine is at

E:\Steam\SteamApps\common\DARKSOULS III\Game\ModEngine

The second method applies if you have other mods installed that make use of Data0.bdt file. In that case you will have to download DSMapStudio and import the ClearCountCorrectParam.CSV file provided with the download inside your Data0.bdt file. For reference, you can use this excellent guide made by  clevererraptor6. Please note that even if the guide is made for Elden Ring it can be used flawlessly for Dark Souls 2 and 3 as well. The logic is the same.

The third and deprecated method is yo just drop the Data0.bdt provided by my mod inside your Dark Souls 3 main folder, where the DarkSoulsIII.exe is located. If you chose this method, please, for the love of Gwynevere bazongas, make a backup first! I will not be responsible for any issue caused to your game and/or save file if you neglect to take a proper backup. You have been warned!
