How to troubleshoot common problems with Seamless Coop

Common problems with launching:
Please enter a session password in your settings file. The mod will now exit. This is caused by a password not being detected in ersc_settings.ini. If you have already entered a password, it could be likely that you haven't actually saved the file (especially if you're on Windows 11). Reopen ersc_settings.ini and press control + s or click File (top left) > Save and attempt to relaunch the game
Failed to find "SeamlessCoop//ersc.dll" = (Error 3) This means that you failed to extract the actual SeamlessCoop folder from the originally downloaded Seamless Co-op v1.9.0-510-1-9-0-1737457830 folder. Take out the SeamlessCoop folder and paste it into EldenRing/Game.
Failed to find "SeamlessCoop//ersc.dll" = (Error 2) ersc.dll does not exist in the Game folder, or wherever you're attempting to launch Seamless Coop from. Follow the installation instructions closely and ensure that you have everything in its place.
Failed to launch "eldenring.exe" (Error = 740) Happens when the game is being launched as admin. Right click eldenring.exe (found in EldenRing/Game), > Compatibility > UNCHECK "Run this program as administrator.
No such pattern ... The mod may not be compatible with installed game version. Happens when ersc_launcher cannot find a necessary string of bytes to launch the game. Delete eldenring.exe (found in EldenRing/Game) and verify game files via Steam. (how do I verify files? > Right click ELDEN RING inside the Steam library > Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files)
The game is launching in offline mode, not into Seamless Coop. Often happens when ersc_launcher was set to run as a non-Steam game. This sadly is not possible on Windows and must be launched through ersc_launcher directly. Common problems in game:
Tried to enter the DLC, and now has an infinite loading screen. Fix found in documentation linked above. (Workarounds section > First dropdown (infinite loading screen))
k_ESteamNetworkingAvailability_Failed Can happen if you're unable to connect to Steam. Ensure you have Steam opened, and that you are online. If you have any VPNs, turn them off, there are a few notable VPNs that cause this issue, including Cloudflare WARP.
k_ESteamNetworkingAvailability_Unknown Caused by Steam not being able to connect to Steam Datagram Relay. Often piracy-related. There will be no support for pirated versions of the game. (If your game is NOT pirated and you're having this issue, feel free to join the Discord, we'd love to help)
Started and ended a boss fight, didn't see health bar or get runes from it. One or more cooperators was desynced from the host or the individual who started the boss fight. You can tell if you're desynced because the boss WILL NOT have a health bar at the bottom of the screen (if it normally does). Can be solved by teleporting to (<--- important!) and sitting at the same grace before entering a boss fight.
Torrent is invisible / super glitchy. Desync. Can be solved by teleporting to (<--- important!) and sitting at the same grace.
Getting crashes seemingly from nowhere. If you're experiencing crashes that happen randomly (no specific area in the game), this is most likely an issue with Seamless Coop and you got unlucky. It's the nature of the mod and there will be crashes. However, if the crashes are happening frequently, then refer to the next header.
Getting crashes in the same area / spot in game. Potentially a corrupted game file or sequence of events that causes the game to crash. Verify game files THREE (yes, 3) times to ensure that Steam catches any potential corruption in the game files.
Getting invaded, yet I turned off invasions in the settings. As with the password issue above, it could be likely that you forgot to actually save ersc_settings.ini. Ensure that the HOST of the session has actually saved their settings file and relaunch the game. (No, this does not affect NPC invasions.)
Can't progress Varre's questline with the Festering Bloody Fingers. Fromsoft added the ability to do Varre's questline which required online invasions offline in a past update. Visit the Writheblood Ruins in Altus Plateau and invade and ensure you kill Magnus the Beastclaw. Dying to him three times will not work in Seamless Coop.
Very rare problems:
CSSessionManager ... ersc\cs_session_manager\cs_sessionmanager.cpp6 This is Seamless Coop's error code for letting the user know that the session terminated with an error, it is NOT an error itself. Sadly, there are no known / documented causes for this, and the error is usually fairly benign and causes no corruption.
YKRegulationManager Caused by an outdated or corrupted regulation.bin file. Delete regulation.bin and verify game files. Can be found in EldenRing/Game.
Failed to load save data (cannot progress past this menu or visit the character selection screen) Happens when the game is trying to load a save which does not belong to the Steam account associated with the game. If you had just downloaded a mule save or gotten a save from a friend, then you need to patch your SteamID over their save. Instructions in the Discord.
Save data corrupted. There are two instances of this error: At the main menu, preventing further progression into the character selection screen. At the character selection screen, preventing entrance into the game If you have the former error, it's likely that you have a out-of-date regulation.bin file (potentially from a mod) and it just needs to be replaced with a new one (delete it and verify game files). Sadly, if you have the latter error, it is VERY likely that your save is irreversibly corrupted. There are a few pieces of documentation that explain how to **potentially** fix it, but I will not list them here, as they are likely to cause more damage than good.
This is all of the documented and common issues that I could think of for tonight. If you were STILL unable to find your issue listed here or in the documentation, join the Discord, it is MUCH more likely you will receive help in a timely manner there. Remember that Yui is a single developer, and Seamless has no "team". There will be bugs and there will be issues. Please be patient. Thank you.

Было бы неплохо, если бы автор мода добавил проблему в описание и решение этой проблемы, я уверен, что проблема существует не только у меня.
So, I've been having an issue where after a few seconds of the game playing, i get an error popping up about unable to find all signitures or something. What really confuses me is the window claims to be from the 1.5.1 version of Seamless Co-Op. Is that an error code or is their genuanly some old instance of seamless co-op hanging around causing issues? I have followed the steps required to update in the provided Github
Having issues where game (playing as host) is constantly freezing. Can be from anywhere from 2 up to 30+ seconds, and at completely random intervals; while friends who have joined the world do not have this issue at all, minus a never minor stagger on my long freezes. This also happens when haven't even used the pot to allow people to join game. Is anyone else having this issue? or has some setting become broken for me causing these freezes.
Same here, tried many fixes (updating drivers, repairing/reinstalling game, reinstalling seamless, changing settings in-game to low and switching between fullscreen/borderless. Game never had these issues and only stutters when running seamless, not in vanilla Elden Ring.

I have experienced an interesting bug. I used rebirth in my own world to change my stats. After that I played with my brother, everything normal. After I used the seperating mist and was back in my own world, my new and old stats COMBINED. When I go into the level up screen it shows my new stats, after leveling up is still showed the new+old stat total. My level didn't get combined. Now this is not just a bug showing different numbers, the stats actually combine. I should only have 16 strength (new stat) have around 25 tho and can use weapons and shields that require that much strength. I don't want to be OP by having stats that I shouldn't have. Is there a fix to this?
