    When asking for installation help, double check that your install exactly matches the mod description. If it does, feel free to ask for help here (not my DMs), including all of this info:

    • what went wrong
    • a screenshot of your ModEngine-2.1.0.0 folder, and your config_eldenring.toml file
    • any files in the ModEngine-2.1.0.0 > logs folder
    • which other mods you have installed
    • where you obtained ELDEN RING (e.g. Steam), and if you downpatched it or installed it in a non-standard folder

    Known Limitations

    • Some crashes have been reported when used with the Camera Offset mod. Let me know if any other mods seem incompatible with this one.
    FAQ
    How can I use this mod without being banned?
    ModEngine2 automatically launches offline, so you don't need to do anything special to avoid being banned while using the mod.

    If you plan on going back online, the usual warning is that anything under "Browse cut content" will result in bans. If you don't own the DLC, the "DLC Items" menu should also be avoided.

    This is not my own personal research, and I don't know FromSoft's internal policies, so I'm not able to look into more specific questions about how to avoid bans. If you care about playing online, please exercise extra caution with anything that seems like it would be flagged.

    How can I use this with Seamless Co-op?
    Follow this guide.

    Does this work with the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC?
    Yes - DLC items are listed in a separate "DLC Items" submenu, in case you'd like to avoid item name spoilers.

    Why isn't the new menu option showing up?

    Make sure you installed it exactly as shown in the mod description. Check that the file is in the correct folder, and config_eldenring.toml is edited exactly as described.

    When I click run ModEngine2, the game doesn't start
    Some common problems with ModEngine2 are solved by moving the game to the C:\ drive, or running it as an administrator. I haven't personally run into these issues using ModEngine2, and won't be able to provide generic troubleshooting advice beyond this.

    You can also try installing the mod with Elden Mod Loader, which I don't use but works better for some people.

    Can I access the mod if I killed or aggroed Kalé?
    UPDATE: Kalé is always alive and non-hostile in the latest version of the mod, so the shop is accessible even if you killed him. If you disable the mod, Kalé will return to whatever state you left him in.

    Why can't I sell items back to merchants?
    UPDATE: In the latest version of the mod, items can be sold back to merchants again.

    Why are weapons upgraded? Can I buy unupgraded weapons?
    Weapons purchased from Kalé are auto-upgraded by default to the highest level you've already acquired. So, a fresh character would get unupgraded weapons, while an endgame character who already has a +25 weapon would just get fully upgraded weapons to save time.

    If you want weapons to be sold unupgraded, edit the included ermerchant.ini in Notepad, and change auto_upgrade_weapons = true to auto_upgrade_weapons = false.

    Another issue is occurring (e.g. missing text or icons, items not appearing in the shop, DLC content not working, etc...)
    If you're using other mods, try running without any mods enabled to see which one is the issue. Many other mods haven't been updated yet for the latest patch, and this can interfere with merchant items showing up.

    If anyone unlocked the cut content gestures, there is a way to remove them. If you use cheat engine and the Elden Ring cheat engine table, you can remove the gestures in the gesture tab. You can double click on "unlocked" and change it to "locked".

    Hello, I accidentally acquired the gestures from the cut content section. Is there a way to remove them? I don't want to get banned for something so silly. I don't have any other mods installed.

    In case anyone is stuck, I had to do “mod/ermerchant.dll”, to make it work when using convergence.

    Thanks for the great work. But I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get "browse inventory" option at the merchant when the dll is loaded with modengine2.

    I've tried easy mod loader, which works fine. But I like to use modengine2 which is much cleaner way.  From the log, it looks to me the ermerchant.dll is loaded. But I still only get "purhcase, sell ..." option at the merchant. By the way, other dll mods seem to run fine. 

    I'm very puzzled.

      Do you have any other mods installed, particularly with regulation.bin files? Outdated regulation.bins are the most common cause of problems like that

      I've also heard that some people have issues using ModEngine2 on drives other than C:\, not sure if that's real

    Great mod. I want to use this mod but it does not work. Please help me.
    Version 1.1.11 of this mod
    eldenring.exe file version 2.6.0.1
    I placed it in ModEngine-2.1.0.0-win64.
    Open config_eldenring.toml and add external_dlls = [
    “ermerchant.dll”,.
    ].
    But it does not work. I have tried many times and it does not work.
    I have rewritten it many times, making sure where to put “ermerchant.dll”, and paying attention to whether there are spaces or not, but it doesn't work.
    Please advise. I don't know what went wrong.

      Your copy of elden ring was acquired through Steam right? Would it happen to be the Japanese version of the game? I'm wondering because it sounds like you have a different .exe from me

      Yes. This is the Japanese version. Wasn't Japanese language supported?

      I would like to send you an email but have no means to do so.
      I can't put my email address here and I have no idea how to use NexusMods.
      I always just download from the nexus. I don't know anything else about how to use it.
      I tried looking at your account and there is a section to send you a message, but all I get is a message saying I need to sign up.

      Hmm it's working for me. I've heard of people having issues using ModEngine2 on drives other than C:\, so you could maybe try the Elden Mod Loader approach or try moving your game to C:\.

      I tried the Elden Mod Loader and it did not work, I checked the Elden Mod Loader logs and the mod itself seems to work but it is not reflected in the game. I have loaded a combination of mods other than this mod of yours that remove FPS limitations, etc. and it works perfectly.
      So I don't know what is causing this anymore.
      I have tried moving the game folder to the C drive where windows is located and it still does not work.
      This is definitely a problem in my environment and not caused by your mod.
      I appreciate all the advice you have given me.

      Are you using the "quest log" mod?  I had the same problem while using Elden Mod Loader, it turns out that the quest  log mod conflicts with this one.  I removed the quest log mod and it worked fine.

    Sorry to bother you, but i've mistakenly unlocked the gestures from the cut content section and, since i would like to play online in the future, i wanted to ask if you recommended any solutions (if they exist) that would remove them from my inventory to avoid any risk of getting banned. Thanks in advance and my congratulations for the mod, works perfectly.

    Thanks for the mod. 
    I only want to use it for upgrading newfound weapons. So, is there a way to make it only show weapons that you already have in inventory without removing the original stock and adding anything else? Or make some other npc/bonfire fulfill Glorious Merchant functions instead?
    Kyle is one of the most important merchants in the game, so it's really inconvenient to lose him like this, practically for nothing.

      You could use the DLL that comes with Enemy and Item Randomizer, which has an auto upgrade feature
