Review: This mod is a game-changer! Eliminated stutters, boosted FPS, and reduced input lag without sacrificing visual quality. The game feels smoother and more responsive, especially in demanding areas. Installation was easy, and it works perfectly with my other mods. A must-have for anyone looking to optimize their game!
Ok, I don't know what kind of sorcery this is, but wow my stutters are practically gone! My overall fps performance isn't higher than without this mod, but still, even sitting at 60fps with this makes the game feel buttery smooth compared to the mess it was before. I honestly don't understand why SE is so bad at PC ports, even Remake had the same stuttering issue. But this mod just finally made it easy on my eyes. I can actually follow what's happening in combat and react appropriately. Thank you, good sir! And the clarity is amazing now. With the hook installed, I can actually have the game running at 50% or 66% resoluation and increase sharpening and it looks great. Feels great to play now :)
Props to P40L0 for coming up with this solution! I tried everything to try and increase my FPS, the point where I was about to give up completely. Running on a 4060ti with a Ryzen 5600x and 32GB DDR4 RAM, my frames (even with every set to medium/low) kept dropping from 90fps to an unbearable 25fps at various places like the Chocobo Ranch and out in different parts of the Grasslands, with no recovery unless i reloaded the game.
After using this, it plays like butter at 60-90fps, even with settings at medium/high! Thank you very much P40L0, Square-Enix needs to take note.
Thank you very much for this mod, before I could barely play because it barely stayed at 50 fps even though I had a 4060, after using your mod and configuring it for my card I have 80-100 fps
t.MaxFPS is purposely set to 0 to have it unlocked in-game.
Then it's better to use a better fps limiter like NVIDIA Control Panel ones (Low Latency Ultra if you're using VRR/G-Sync or Max Framerate setting) or RTSS limiter.
r.MassiveEnvironment.SimpleInstanceLODScale=1 is I believe default. I always change the value to 3. Ding that might help with pop in at the cost of performance.
You're new AA Optimizations are amazing. Had to forego using XESS upscaling(through mod) as a measure to improve performance because it made Cloud's hair look so terrible. There are still obviously issues when using upscaling, but now it actually doesn't look bad! Thank you so much!!!
Hello, which version (model) of DLSS are you using to test if shimmering/ghosting is this occurring? I updated to the latest version of the mod, but i still see the trees shimmering in my game. I am using 310.2.1.
When you say this isn't compatible with any other kind of performance mods, do you mean only engine.ini mods, or do you mean it's also not compatible with .pak mods that are supposed to improve performance?

Enjoy! :)
I cant seem to be able to set a max frame rate however. Editing line:
t.MaxFPS=120
Doesnt seem to do the trick.
t.MaxFPS is purposely set to 0 to have it unlocked in-game.

I highly recommend to update and, please, leave a comment on how it runs for you after!

Thank you!
You will always have a bit of shimmering/ghosting when using DLSS but it should be much less now with v14
Changelog:
As v13.5 lowered performance and/or caused instability for many people.
Thank you for the feedback and sorry for the confusion!
