vurt, thanks for textures. I updated plugin - for steam workshop G2 (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3441824770) - on disk https://drive.google.com/file/d/1V392D5zYpmPAmgsz6fJaZgXt2PCd4CiG/view?usp=sharing
For use need https://github.com/SaiyansKing/GD3D11/releases/tag/v17.8-dev20 and above.
Man, those clouds are great! Can't wait until someone makes a mod that allows using multiple sky textures that switch from time to time, I can't decide which one to use
I was wondering if it is possible to make the night sky more... idk, starry? Like, the stars to be clearly visible, the moon to be more high definition, maybe a hint of another galaxy and such? I saw a similar night sky texture on some other mod but forgot what the mod's name was.
Also, if it is not a problem, can you make the same (or similar) sky for Gothic 1 as well, or this one works for G1 too since it uses the same GD3D11 (files, "system" and so on)?
yeah i can make it for Gothic 1 too i guess, I should probably install Gothic 1 to take a look that it works and looks good though, so when i'll have some time over i can probably do that.
I can take a look at the night sky, you're probably thinking of the old version of my gothic 2 graphics overhaul, it had such a night sky. in fact i think its still in there, lol, i'll take a look if i can find that texture and convert it to GD3D11.
Edit: here's a quick test, i think i like that it's much brighter than the very black default one, because the nights are quite bright.
To spare fellow Steam users some headache: keep in mind to not subscribe to GD3D11 on Steam Workshop, as Steam Workshop Loader will overwrite this texture file with default GD3D11 texture on every game launch.
Awesome! I never cease to be amazed at your skill! I look at these skyboxes and can't decide which one I like more)))). And technically you can do smooth transition from one variant to another by the past of the day cycle? Or the engine will not technically allow it? After all, there is a change between day and night skyboxes, maybe it is possible to increase the number of cycles?

(comes with its own D3D11 renderer + custom folders etc)

It's better to download the latest GD3D11 directly from github and install manually.
