whether it's just this mod or any other that's causing infinite loading, I wouldn't be able to help since I have zero clue about linux troubleshooting, sorry
Very cool. Using only the content of the locations folder makes mines defusable without the dog while not revealing the minefields on the map which is exactly what i was looking for. Thank you very much for this!
Love the mod! Is there any possibility, since you were able to edit the floating icons for the mines, that you could make an alternate version with no icon at all above the mines?
Hell yes, I was just thinking the other day how you shouldn't need to swap cars to deal with mine fields. If only there was a way to put Dinki Di into the Magnum Opus for a finishing touch (since you don't need the buggy anymore!) :) Good work, the minefields are the worst part of the game experience.
ideally, there could have been some stronghold project you can complete to reveal mines, but the gripe I always had was that fast travelling "resets" your vehicle to magnum opus even if you picked something else, making minefields even more tedious.
as for dinky di in MO, I doubt it would work. dropzone ignores archives and only accepts loose files like the ones I provided with this mod, so even if I repacked MO archives with assets for dinki di, the game would most likely not do anything with them. it would be cool, though. max trusts dinki di so having him in MO would definitely be canon
It'd just be a cosmetic thing anyway, all good. One thing I always wanted from the game was a hardcore mode. No fast travel, reduced benefits from stronghold upgrades, double the cost of Max's legend tokens when you visit Griffa (so you can't max out on everything, you have to choose carefully). Might be possible with the current level of modding now available?
- griffa tokens might be hardcoded, might also need to mess with UI stuff and that's read-only at the moment [can convert to xml but not back to game-readable format] - fast travel can be disabled entirely on a whim iirc - stronghold resupply is a preset script that refills your health/fuel/ammo, I don't think there are any quantities associated with them, BUT I do remember messing with ammo capacity and the stronghold gave me 50 thunderpoons so maaaaybe there's a file somewhere? or again, could be in the executable, just like quite a few other things are
tl;dr probably not possible without some major upgrades to the tools we got
I can offer some hacky stuff like constant health/ammo/fuel/canteen refills, scrap printing, vehicle godmode, immediate stronghold upgrades etc etc, so..... quite the opposite of what you're after hah
Ah, yes, I'm after making it harder not easier! Well, you get the sort of stuff I'm thinking about, you might be able to come up with some difficulty improvements of your own within the scope of known limitations. Or not! Just throwing some ideas around.
This is THEPERFECT QoL mod for Mad Max, Thank you!!! No more Googling maps to find those tricky minefields off the beaten path. Endorsed and if I could Kudo your account again I would.

EDIT: uploaded under "optional files", should be ready to download once the nexus servers scan it and finalise the upload
