PSA: • There is an issue with your installation if your skybox EVER looks like the attached screenshot. • If your weather has intense white sky banding on the horizon, desaturated colors, and drab lighting, follow the steps below.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
• DNWeathers.esp must be absolutely last in your load order, but load any rain mods or DNW patches/add-ons after. • Patches made with Wrye Bash or Mator Smash will cause issues when loaded after DNW. It's not recommended to use these anyways. • Install any available updates for the script extender requirements: JIP, xNVSE, JohnnyGuitar, Climate Control, and Stewie's Tweaks. • Do not use any other weather, lighting, tint remover, or darker nights type plugins unless they are compatible with DN Weathers. • Do not use a config file from an older version of this mod - copy any values you've changed to the latest config file after updating. • If all of the above suggestions fail, try the Scripted Climate Setter file under Misc Files.
MORE INFO ON LOAD ORDER:
• Load order can be adjusted by moving plugins on the right side with Mod Organizer 2. • Do not rely on LOOT. It will likely place this mod too far up in your load order. • I can not help you if you use NMM or FOMM, they are outdated - use MO2 or Vortex. • Refer to Viva New Vegas for tips on using MO2: https://vivanewvegas.moddinglinked.com/intro.html • Adjusting load order for Vortex users: https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/About_Load_Orders
Sorry to bother Clayvn, this might just be a me thing, and if so please ignore it. But I keep seeing updates making nights less dark. Personally I'm a really big fan of darker nights. Is there any chance you can leave an option for that?
add edit I found the cause. removed GIR+SLRF fix patch and the sky is beautiful again. New addition of hNVSE to Nova Arizona's requirements was apparently causing conflicts because it has the same functionality as GIR+SLRF.
Increase the frequency of Clear weather five times more often than others, for example. Is it possible to make adjustments like that? Cloudy and Rainy are depressing, but I don't want to delete them.
Hey, does the Desert Natural Realism mod still work with the latest version of DNW? I've heard conflicting reports. Would love a reply from the author!
Same! I have been playing around with the load orders etc. for a few months now and they seem to get along just fine. What I would really like to fix is my rain...it isn't showing up at all when the storms blow in.
Sandstorms, lightning and thunder work but no visible rain (also have 3D Rain mod) and I tried all the tricks I could scrounge up. When on console command it shows a script error linking the rain file from Honest Hearts for some reason.
I'm impressed modders are still active on here and thankful for others to communicate with about these issues.
Could there be an option to increase the brightness of night vision? With the Friend of the Night perk, I can barely tell a difference. If I wasn't adding and removing the IMOD to test it, I would forget I ever had the perk.
DNW not working at all, sky still vanilla, glare indoors, sky red or purple at night, white line on horizon, etc... many reports like this have been raised (including mine), but maybe the reason is because it's the Epic Games version?
In the Epic version, some texture replacements etc do not work sometimes. Maybe this is the same as those?
Sorry, I didn't realise that I needed to apply the included DNW patch together with Nova Arizona installer. reinstalled NA and it worked perfectly fine! I'm really sorry for complaining all this time.

Is there a way to just have the darker nights active? With the Friend of the Night perk, I can barely tell a difference. If I wasn't adding and removing the IMOD to test it, I would forget I ever had the perk.
