Will this mod take effect if I install it after I have the original perk? I like the idea of installing this upgrade after finishing The Better Angels, to represent my character's healing. Will it "fix" Scarred if I already have the perk?
The original description of the perk is great! However I wish to share a modified version of this just to make it clearer what the perk does and how it was obtained in the first place.
"You've emerged from the grave and cheated death once again. The scars you bear steel your resolve to defeat all those who have wronged you. Your determination and rigorous training has granted you a 10% faster draw speed, fire rate, and damage output."
While I would have liked to clarify the endingto be with firearms, sadly the description can only contain so many letters. Though it is still a fine description in consideration to both versions of this mod.
In any case, if any of you have FNVEdit and feel up for doing it, you can modify the original .esp file and change the description that way. This applies if you personally just want to make your own description of the perk! Again, thank you for the mod, and without those starting lines it would not be as cool as I could've made it!
(Reason): This stemmed from how the description, I found, was a little unclear. As well as the typo with the word "making" in the .esp (and in the files section on the mod page it says "drawnbacks" when it should be "drawbacks," along with the word "difference" being used when it should be "different" or "differing executions"). So I wanted to build off the already awesome description and hopefully make it into something that I personally find better.
(P.S.): The correction of grammar is a particular pet peeve of mine, it is in no way meant to be a bashing or petty critique. It is just how I am.
I always liked the idea of lasting trauma from the quest, problem is Marko is actually quite an underwhelming villain so its hard to buy into it, but mainly that the theme of New Vegas is letting go of trauma, so its sucks that there's not really a way to process it yourself.
I would have no idea how to do it but i feel it would work better as a Reputation, where you finish NVB3, then get negative 'Trauma' reputation according to your Strength, Endurance and Charisma, and with it the debuffing perk, and you work through the scars and trauma (get pos+ repuation) by doing companion side quests, and/or completing 'The Better Angels' (someguy wrap up mod) and once you're on the positive side you are literally a reformed person with the buffs (like from this mod) to represent that.
An empty spaces doll made this mod or at least the description and I approve. thanks, my thing is that a perma scar doesn't fit my character, I have multiple implants and mutation perks that represent inhuman healing factors up to and including fixing limbs blasted off by plasma or returning from the brink of death, I refuse to believe that I had those holes for more than 2 days.
