    For gamepass users:

When installing reshade, select the gamelaunchhelper.exe (not OblivionRemastered-Win64-Shipping.exe) in  ...XboxGames\The Elder Scrolls IV- Oblivion Remastered\Content

Some comparisons from the previous version and the most recent update. Special attention was paid to the Gold Coast and rainy weathers as I think they looked a bit off previously. I know these are small changes, but I think they make a big difference for consistency across different environments. Overall things look a bit more natural and with less of a green tint while remaining bright, lush, and colorful.

I'm also doing some experimenting with Shaders Revised by Doodlum so stay tuned for that.

for me this works best with older versions of reshade like 5.8.0 (5-10fps) for those who want to download older versions copy this link and replace X.X.X with number of version you want https://reshade.me/downloads/ReShade_Setup_X.X.X_Addon.exe

Exactly. Newer version of Reshade, after 5.8.0, causes micro stuttering in Oblivion Remastered even when performance mode is checked.

I tried that, and while it reduces the stutters, it doesn't get rid of them altogether. I will have to go with vanilla colours in the end because stutters, and this reshade eating 10 fps in-game is too much of a sacrifice. It looks gorgeous, though. Probably the best reshade for the remaster out there.

to vegaswanderer. use Ultimate Engine Tweaksit helped me a lot from 30-60 fps to 60-80 and i have regular 12Gig. 3060 most options on ultra-high and some fps hungry settings to medium

Thank you. I use Ultimate Engine Tweaks, and stutters are almost gone. But using Reshade creates problems, I think. At least, I notice they happen more frequently during combat, which is annoying.

Reshade "Add-ons", and under "Generic Depth" change the "Aspect Ratio Heuristic" to "Match Resolution Exactly"
and switching DLSS mode in the actual Oblivion game settings from "DLAA" to "Quality" and that completely fixed stuttering

ultra on a 3060?? i have a 3060 on my laptop and the best i can do is 60-80 with no reshades with everything low but medium draw distance, textures and effects. sometimes i have to turn shadows on low to keep the frames. i still get dips sometimes.
and i had to trick geforce into letting me use preset k and download optimized tweaks and used the boost version.
how on earth are you getting good frames with ultra and high? please teach me lol i'm using a legion 5 pro 16ith6

My Reshade (6.4.1) is saying that there only one effect (Deband) when I select this ini, is that right? My game looks nothing like the photos. I installed the same way as your instructions and selected gamelaunchhelper.exe for gamepass

Doesn't sound like you installed all required effects. Rerun the reshade installer and make sure you check all effects.

If you copied over the Reshade.ini from the download as instructed it would already be disabled.

This looks incredible. By far the best reshade. It deserves more endorsements. Thank you so much. Amazing immersive visuals with this mod.

The current version is excellent! Though, I did turn on a lower curves and levels a bit for a slightly darker appearance alongside luma sharpen and AMD Sharpening for my personal taste. Other than that, this is goddanged perfect! the colors are great, not too hard on the eyes. Nice job

To anyone looking for the best reshade, you can stop searching; this is the one. It's more balanced than any other reshade I've seen out there and makes the game's colors feel like Oblivion again. I spent a whole day tweaking other reshades on this site and still wasn't satisfied when I could have just downloaded this one. It's perfect without any tweaking at all.

BLACK SCREEN FIX FOR GAMEPASS/RESHADE 5.8.0:

If you launch to a black screen but still have audio:

-With the game running, open ReShade overlay (HOME key by default)

    -Uncheck MultiLUT.fx
-If this doesn't work, uncheck other effects until you isolate the problem. You will see instant results.

Thanks Sasquatch, this looks awesome! Doesn't cost me any performance at all, unlike the popular ReShade. I don't understand why that one took off...

I wouldn't recommend disabling that as that's most of what removes the piss filter. Instead you could copy the MultiLUT.fx and the MultiLut_atlas1.png from the 6.4.1 version and paste them into the Shaders/Textures folder for the 5.8 version respectively.

Hey, do you have some recommendations for the reshade settings when using this lumen mod? I would like to use both :)

Just don't use that mod with a reshade preset unless the preset has been calibrated for it. None of them will look right. I was meaning to try it out though so I may create a second preset specifically designed for use with it.

just tinker with fakeHDR settings to compensate for brightness and darker shadows and you can use both
*edit actually color correction is needed little bit too it will make it little bit more "blue-ish" but its nothing hard make screenshot before you add that engine.ini and use it as comparison

I think I got it quite well. I had to turn down the saturation quite a bit.

+1 would love a preset designed to work with Lumen Remastered, it really helps certain lighting conditions look less ridiculous. Still using this preset though, it looks great! :)

Edit: Went to download the update and I see it now requires Lumen Remastered LOL, ty very much!

Wow this is just perfect, exactly the vibrancy I remember of Oblivion as a kid. Without any over saturation that makes peoples faces or other things that aren't just landscape shots look ridiculous. Really good job, I can tell you put a lot of care in
