The mod does encumberance changes in one of the two chosen different ways: - Changes the lockpick weight to -150/-15/-5/-2, meaning the more lockpicks you carry the more you can carry in general, however it can break if you have 'Feather' effect on your rings. - Feather ring version instead adds feather rings to the barrels named 'Ring of Feather' next to the 'Office of Imperial Commerce', you can choose one of 3 rings for 250/550/1000000 'Feather' attribute effect, meaning if you carry that amount of items it will increase your maximum possible encumberance to that level
Important thing about the 'Feather Rings': Just because you equipped the ring, the UI won't show that you can carry e.g. 550 additional weight, it will only show it once you are above 550 weight currently in your inventory, this is due to how the game handles the UI's max encumberance calculation and I cannot change that.
For the lockpick version: In other words you can carry a lockpick or several to reduce your carry weight, if its at 0 or in the negatives, doesn't matter as it will continue to work even with e.g. 10000 lockpicks! (However it will break if you have a 'feather' ring enabled, not just one from the mod but any)
P.s. Read the installation section, if it doesn't work at all for you, make sure mods actually load, because e.g. gamepass or steam might be overwriting your plugins.txt file etc.
Remember guys, you need lockpicks in the inventory for this to work!

Carry weight seems to be set to zero any time you equip something with feather effect. If you want something with that effect and you become over encumbered simply unequip and re-enquip that item.
I agree it seems that the 1.1 update did break this mod. At least the lockpick version I was using isn't showing. I'm going to put off playing until a carry weight mod is working because the game is unbearable when I can't loot everything in sight.
I got the same problem, looked at the plugin.txt and "CarryWeightMod.esp" was in it but it didn't work, reinstalled the mod also didn't work, the feather ring mod works just fine
I wanted to wear the Morag Tong armour, but the Greaves have a Feather effect on them, which breaks this mod... so.... uh... Is there any way to make it NOT do that?
[Edit]: Nevermind. Figured it out. Remove Feathered Item. Remove Lockpicks from inventory. Equip feathered item. Re-add lockpicks to inventory. Problem solved!
Basically... if you have negative carry weight due to lockpicks and equip something with a Feather enchant, it sets your encumberence back up to 0, no matter how many lockpicks you have. So if you continue picking things up (or duplicating items) you can get easily over-encumbered. But if you find a box, put all your lockpicks in it, then take off the Feather gear (Morag Tong Greaves in this case), then re-equip it, you can then take all the lockpicks out of storage and it will be fine... at least until the next time you unequip / re-equip the greaves.
Just wanted to add something random which is that the ring version also appears in a barrel the same way at a place called "Dagny's Camp" (NW of Skingrad / NE of Kvatch).

Excelent mod that can be used to transport all your stuff from one home onto another, quick and simple. Only requiring a text edit to deactivate the effect.
A small work around I discovered: Remove feather item (for me it was the Grey Cowl), drop all your lock picks. Put your feather item back on and then pick up the lock picks. Works every time.
