The mod does encumberance changes in one of the two chosen different ways: - Changes the lockpick weight to -150/-15/-5/-2, meaning the more lockpicks you carry the more you can carry in general, however it can break if you have 'Feather' effect on your rings. - Feather ring version instead adds feather rings to the barrels named 'Ring of Feather' next to the 'Office of Imperial Commerce', you can choose one of 3 rings for 250/550/1000000 'Feather' attribute effect, meaning if you carry that amount of items it will increase your maximum possible encumberance to that level
Important thing about the 'Feather Rings': Just because you equipped the ring, the UI won't show that you can carry e.g. 550 additional weight, it will only show it once you are above 550 weight currently in your inventory, this is due to how the game handles the UI's max encumberance calculation and I cannot change that.
For the lockpick version: In other words you can carry a lockpick or several to reduce your carry weight, if its at 0 or in the negatives, doesn't matter as it will continue to work even with e.g. 10000 lockpicks! (However it will break if you have a 'feather' ring enabled, not just one from the mod but any)
P.s. Read the installation section, if it doesn't work at all for you, make sure mods actually load, because e.g. gamepass or steam might be overwriting your plugins.txt file etc.
Remember guys, you need lockpicks in the inventory for this to work!
V1.2 fixed [NL] name
V1.3 Adds Carry Weight (Feather Effect) Rings that do not take up any slots, use that if you'd like an easier to use version! Location of these are next to the 'Office of Imperial Commerce' (Imperial city market), make sure to check the barrels with name 'Ring of Feather'
Nothing works for me now. It was working day one, then something changed.
I have tried the -150 and then the -15. Also, the ring. I cannot find the ring at the location. But I can confirm both the mod file and the plugin info is in the correct place.
I have done the install day one by hand. Then I have being using Vortex. The files end in the right place, yet, still nothing.
I despise manually installing files because it never works. I followed the instructions exactly and unzipped the file directly into the main game folder. I went to the text file and the new entry isn't there. On top of that the files that were unzipped are nowhere to be seen in the game files. HOW do I do this?
Update: I let Vortex install the mod. It shows up in the plugins. The mod does not work! I used the console to give myself 150 lock picks. I picked up some items and it says I am over encumbered. You should probably fix your mod.
Update: Vortex doesn't show any mods installed even though the file shows in the list. I have used the console command "player.forceav encumbrance 9999. Why even bother creating a mod that doesn't work when you can just use console commands. Now I hope my game isn't fucked because of my attempt to use a mod that doesn't work.
AND Vortex insists on placing this mod 3rd in the list instead of at the bottom. Otherwise instant crash when starting the game. This mod should be removed from the Nexus.
Cameleon or Feather effect on self cancels the mod. Other than that very very good mod. Combining the one thing u always have the most with the one thing that u always need the most.
Don't know if it will help anyone but here is what worked for me. I noticed that all of the xxxxxx.esp files that I added to the plugins folder got removed, probably due to the update. After I added them back everything worked perfect again.

After doing so, the rings are gone, and also not back in the barrels outside of the Office of Imperial Commerce.
Unapplying the mod, making a new save, reapplying the mod also did not help.
Anyone help me out with the ring item IDs so I can just add them in via console?

Also can not find the barrel that was renamed, still just barrel for me. all my other mods are working fine
Try putting CarryWeightMod.esp at the bottom of the plugins.txt, worked for meUpdate: I let Vortex install the mod. It shows up in the plugins. The mod does not work!
