    I got sick of seeing bandits everywhere with mithril and dwarven gear, and knew it would get much worse as I continued leveling - so I made this quick little mod. Enjoy!

    I strongly encourage other mod authors to build off of this if they want to add more changes - Oblivion ESP slots will become very precious over time and this is my very small and quick first effort. I have fully open permissions and look forward to seeing what other folks do with this!

    Anyone who wishes to make a patch for this, I request instead that you MERGE the changes from the mod you want to patch into this esp, then either send me a link to post here or post it as your own mod (with credit to me for the original). I have open permissions, and I want to encourage MERGING rather than PATCHING because of the extremely limited 254 esp slots that we will ALL soon run into.

    Thank you! Ascension and Descension always felt like they went too far with it - I was just sick of seeing glass/daedric on every normal bandit, whereas those two make it so NO NPC can spawn with them.

    I have question can you edit this mod too have the reverse effect o.O Rich bandits that have only top gear equipment like Elven or Glass O.o

    The game hangs on a black screen as soon as I launch when I have this mod enabled.
    I can't figure out what mod is conflicting with it to cause this. I don't have any other bandit modifiers.

    Any popular mods you're aware of that could cause this?

      You probably mistyped the name in your plugins.txt.

      I'll double check that but I don't manually type it and instead do "rename > Ctrl+A > Ctrl+C" and then paste it into the plugins list.

      Ya I double checked and removed and re added.
      Same issue so I'm just not using it for now. No idea what the conflict is coming from to cause this.

    Everything works except the bandit bowmen still wear mithril, glass, etc.

    Does the Balanced NPC Level Cap version work for the Diverse NPC Level Cap version of the mod as well?

    Appreciate the mod, thanks! Any chance of impoverished goblins as well?

    Edit: I just ran Vilverin and all bandits there are still wearing levelled gear, glass/mithril in this case.

    I'm level 12 and some bandits have pricy magic weapons (!). Can you improve this mod removing the chance of magic weapons for poor bandits and capping them to steel weapons at max? IMHO they should always have basic gear only.
    BTW, friendly people at the Roxey Inn starting to wear Dwarvish armors and other powerful gear (a separate mod to cap them too?)

    LOOT:
    I also wish there was a mod making rare/powerful magic weapons VERY rare in the hands of ANY NPC: you should find them only in chests.
    To compensate, basic gold coins leveled lists should be also much increased so that you can find much less powerful weapons (on the bodies), but much more coins in the chests (this would also give shops more sense...).

    The perfect gameplay IMHO would be like this:

    • poor bandits, NEVER having special gear (max = steel, no magic/rare weapons), quite low level cap for them
    • also conjurers etc. should have a low chance to equip powerful weapons
    • much more  gold coins instead of special items in the chests and rare powerful magic weapons (you should find them mostly in shops, with reasonable prices not 6000+) [boosts economy mechanics]
    • richer merchants x4 (with 24h refresh)
    • jewels, pearls, and gemstones should have a much higher price [boosts economy mechanics]
    • max capped enemies ( Balanced NPC Level Cap + your optional file do already a good job!)
