Create account on vast.ai and put $5 on it.
Search for the CHIM XTTS template and select it.
Run it on an RTX 3060 in a region near you.
Wait 5 minutes for it to start up.
Click the Blue URL box and copy the Open Ports URL and paste it into your web browser. If a website appears, its working!
In the CHIM Configuration Wizard paste in that URL, click Check to verify, then Save.
Click Copy to all Profiles for the XTTS URL and also for the selected xtts-fastapi TTS connector.
In CHIM XTTS Management click the Sync button to upload any cached voices to the new server.
You are good to go!

Backup and Restore Profiles for Different Playthroughs

Currently CHIM works by deleting events and memories whenever you load an older save or a new one.
This is to prevent time paradoxes as the AI will freak out if its detecting events from different playthroughs.
These are 2 scripts you can use to easily manage multiple playthroughs.
Download Scripts Here (Under Optional Files)
Put them in the in the DwemerDistro folder (where the Start Server.bat is located).
Then just run the BackupNPCs.bat script to save your current playthrough and RestoreNPCBackup.bat to restore a playthrough!
For Advanced users who want to automate backups:
Edit BackupNPCs.bat:
Parameter1: name of backup folder
Parameter2: (optional) -o... -
Official Custom Follower Integration Guide
So if you want your follower mod on the Nexus to be fully integrated into our mod, its actually pretty easy!
Integration means that whenever anyone activates YOUR follower with our mod, it is using a character biography of YOUR design.
Note regarding voices
We will do our best to make it so your follower's AI voice will match their normal voice if the player is using XTTS.
Please make sure that you have permission from the VA if you are integrating it with our mod, or use a fake AI voice for your character.
If a VA asks us to remove integration because they did not consent to their voice being generated, we will comply with their requests.

Installing DwemerDistro on Linux

For people on Linux who want to use this mod here is a quick ( hehe ..) guide (no promises it will work, you might need to adjust some things...)
You will need docker installed on the pc where you want to run the DwemerDistro (it can be a different pc than the one you are gaming on, or the one you are gaming on (I am using a separate older laptop with 4c/8t 9th gen intel CPU and NVidia GTX 1650 to provide xtts , openrouter provides llm, I am not using STT so no idea if this part works )
Unpack the DwemerDistro archive (currently it is named DwemerAIDistro3.7z-126330-0-9-1-1725299901.7z)
