My Experience
After HOURS of tests, i think i can provide some feedback/advices about the mod. The early levels (maybe the first 5...10 levels) are not easy, but not impossible. Because the world is Unleveled (you can find most of the enemies, regardless of your level), you can find a Bandit Thug in the mine near Riverwood. In the beginning you are not a Hero that can do everything: you are a survivor trying to stay alive in the dangerous and now Cursed world of Skyrim. So, for the first 5 or 10 levels some actions can make you become stronger and collect important resources:
Perks: these perks can help you a lot in the beginning: Basic Herbalist (you can craft basic heal that can save your life, since Health doesnt regen) / Basic smithing: necessary to start crafting weapons/armors / Haggling: can make you save some gold .
Exploration: exploration is the key. Even the basic perks require some materials or new resources. Because of The Curse, plants and animals are dying, the world is dying :D, so you will find a lot of rotten plants/meat. If you dont explore, life will be super hard. Even with the world unleveled, you can find places with normal enemies: this can reward you with extra loot.
Combat: watch your Stamina. This is not Dark Souls, but i love that game :D. Learn the range of enemy attacks and try to dodge or use a shield. If you are dual wielding or using weapon + magic, be offensive and dont forget to dodge. Even if you are a pure Mage, WATCH YOUR STAMINA: you may not use it to attack, but remember, the races that are good with magic have The Curse of The Body. The same advice is valid for warriors: watch your Magicka.
Build: plan your build. You cant get everything. The Specialization can provide you tons and tons of builds/ropleplay. Because of the Curse and the changes to Stamina and Magicka, these atributes are important to every class (extra magic/physical resistance). The Race can change how you play, not only because of the new stats, but because of the Curses.
Survival: in the beginning, try to search all the barrels, because you can find food (yeah, you will find a lot of rotten food :D) and mainly water. Try to cook soup, because it removes hunger and thirst. Later you can cook better food/drink that provides more bonuses. The Tired status is everything that you can see on the screen: if your Magicka or Stamina is low, you can activate the Curses or do less damage; if your Health is low, you can receive the Injured status (or die). So take your time and rest. The extra Stamina/Magicka regen helps a lot. Food/drink duration is real time, so you can plan your actions. You can fast travel, but you pay the price for it, because it makes the time pass faster: the time of food/drink or other effect will accelerate. So, again, plan your actions.
The Curses: yeah, they are a pain. I tested with all races, and i can say this: they are a pain :D. There is no this curse is less hardcore than the others.... Or something like: man, the Khajiit Curse is a pain, but when i get 2500 gold, i will cancel it. I win!!! Khajiit win!!!! Your mod sucks!!! AHAHAHAHAH!!! [shhhhhhh this is a secret between you and me, ok? 1- gold has weight.... 2- the more gold you have on you, the more damage bandits do.... shhhhhh..dont tell this to the Khajiit above :D].
The Dragons: they are dragons, so they will kill you. A lot. If you like to fight them, now it is the time. The Dragon Runes can provide extra bonuses to your build, so you can focus, for example, in getting Magicka on level up if you are a Mage and boost your Stamina/Health with the Runes (balance is always better). The Dragonforged equipment are powerful enough to transform you from a simple hero to a legend. The same applies for the Lost Books, but they are rare...
