About this mod
This is a simple mod that removes the ugly Falmer ceiling glow substance from both Blackreach and Falmer cave areas where it exists.

That blue substance stuck on the ceiling has always annoyed me, because it was meant to represent something else maybe. Aetherium Deposits? The same crystal type rocks you find on the ground? A bunch of smurfs sneezed on the ceiling? Who knows.
EDIT - I've been told that blue substance represents glowworms that actually exist in real life.

Cool idea, but it's always bothered me with the way Bethesda implemented it, making it look somewhat unappealing. So I took the falmerglow01.dds and falmerglow01_g.dds files and replaced them with blank PNG files, then converted those to DDS BC7 format to replace the originals.
Now Blackreach and Falmer areas look nicer in my game. So I'm sharing it for anyone that can make use of it.
There is one drawback to be aware of. This doesn't COMPLETELY eliminate the stuff, as there is still some sort of dark spots left over after using this mod. I have no clue what it is and I've looked everywhere to find out where it's coming from so I can maybe deal with it somehow. It looks like a type of decal, but I'm not sure. Maybe one of you knows what it is and if it can be eliminated.
Here is a picture of it up close.
This is right next to the Dwemer Sun in Blackreach where it's lit up and shows. Everywhere else for me in Blackreach was hidden by the darkened ceiling.
However, many blackreach weather or lighting mod settings darken the ceiling where you can't see nearly all of it, and I feel this is a better alternative than having to look at the blue junk.
