Absolutly adore this mod, it's one of very few mods that is 100% always going to be in any loadorder I make, can't play Skyrim without it at this point.
One tiny bit of feedback, would it be possible to disable the "What are you doing, put on some clothes" line from Seranna when you reach the stage of being intimate/in a romantic relationship? It's a bit jarring hearing it at that point.
I can tell Marty about it but it may be something he wants to be the case regardless of your relationship. If he doesn't want to do it, then you can edit it via Xedit/the Creation kit and edit the conditions to either make the line never play or check for whether or not you're married. You can have it set to check to see if the marriage/confession quest was completed.
Thanks for the feedback, yes I can make it so that Serana doesn't say this comment if you've already romanced her and the location is private (a player home). Otherwise, it would very much make sense for her to say it.
Yeah its been in player home, so that being fixed would be great if possible. Only thing I've noticed in a few hundred hours of using SDA, and am eagerly anticipating any future updates for this or Ashe. Made me laugh quite a few times when I work out what you are referencing with some of the dialogue.
Hey there, one TINY little quirk that's driving me nuts even though it's entirely inconsequential. The outfit system is working and she wears what I want her to. However, every now and then her body "flickers" like she's trying to equip something else but she's still wearing the armor I gave her. Even if she doesn't have an outfit assigned and is only wearing her default clothes, it still happens. It's COMPLETELY random and minor but I'm almost positive it's the outfit system causing it to be a little weird. Any way that I can "fix" this or is it just kind of a quirk with the outfit system?
enchant the gear so you can rename it and give it a prefix starting with a bracket [ or some similar character so that its always first alphabetically.
this works with forcing some vanilla npcs to change their gear so it might help here.
Other than minor commentary does most of the banter start after you've taken her home? Haven't done anything but free Serana then doing other quests. Worried that I ported her into NFF, but saw the patch and what to turn off so hopefully that's not it.
Pretty much everything with the mod unlocks once you've had her following you from the Prophet quest and onward. She isn't an actual follower before then. For quest commentary and additional dialogue, you have to become friends first which can be done by spending a week in-game with her or going through the dialogue topics until you get the "Do you have any questions for me" topic and "What brings you to Skyrim" reply. You should get a text box afterwards saying you're friends.
This mod is my favorite for sure. I can't go through a playthrough without this mod. I've been using it in all of my playthroughs since I discovered it. I downloaded Skyrim like two months ago. That said I really want to see some kind of change in her dialogue. Specifically when you affirm her vampirism when talking about a cure. Frankly all of the lines besides maybe the negative one should lead you two to going to an inn, getting drunk and then talking about vampirism, then after some dialogue about molag bal, vampirism, it's benefits and the setting, you offer yourself to become a vampire, or ask her to get cured. The normal way just seem so rushed.
Here's what I'm thinking as an example.
Ask her if she thought about getting cured.
Her response: No.... why? Dragonborn: Don't think about it. I love you just the way you are(affirm vampirism) Serana's responses and then she asks you about your mortality and that she wants to share her experience with you. Dragonborn: What if I became a vampire? Serana: Are you sure that's what you want? This process is intimate for us(or whatever she says I'm paraphrasing) Dragonborn: Yes I'm sure, but we should get something to drink before we discuss it further Go to an inn. Get a drink This part is hard to articulate, but basically Talk about vampirism, it's negatives, positives, how it affected serana's life, her family, your relationship. Get some more dialogue about your decision. Dragonborn: I've made a decision. Serana: Oh? And what would that be? The Dragonborn gets two options at this point. Option 1: I want to spend eternity with you, as a vampire Option 2: I think it's best if you got cured, but the choice is yours. I will respect your decision. If option 1 is selected. Serana will say "Great let's get a room" You both go to a room, hopefully two beds lol. Serana follows you Talk to serana again "So is this the place?" Dragonborn "Yes" Serana smiles "I'm happy to be sharing this gift with you my love" Two things happen at this point SFW players: The screen goes black with a message "You and serana make love, you take one last look at her and she takes one last look at you, before serana reaches out and takes hold of your head and shoulders, exposing your neck. Then in a swift motion serana bites you, transfering Vampirism to you" Screen comes back to the two of you with a vampire bite animation. Serana "Till death do us part... Which is never." NSFW players: You and serana make love. Your custom scenes play out for whatever mod you have. Vampire bite animation plays. Serana: "Till death do us part.... Which is never"
Going back to option 2 You basically do everything you just did to get vampirism. After the love scene. Serana would say "I love you. Just give me some time to think about it" After a few days, She makes the decision to get cured. After she gets cured. She comes back talking about her new cravings for sweet rolls and other food. She's no longer a vampire, so now when you two go out for drinks, she can get drunk. More dialogues come out about sweet rolls and other foods when you give them to her as a gift.
I haven't given her cured self much thought as I have yet to go through a playthrough where she talks about being human again.
Anyway great mod. I really hope this mod can continue to get future updates. This has to be the best mod to ever hit these forums. Thank you.

I really appreciate the detailed breakdown of your idea too. You clearly put a lot of thought into the emotional pacing and tone of the moment, and it’s great to see someone thinking deeply about how the vampirism arc could be more reflective and intimate. I agree that the current cure path can feel a little rushed, especially from a romantic storytelling perspective, and this kind of feedback helps me look at those beats with fresh eyes.
While I can’t promise everything you laid out will make it into the mod exactly as written for the final update, I’ve noted your suggestions.

Hello. Terribly sorry to bother, but I'm having an issue, that I can't seem to find a solution to. I tried looking through comments but alas.
Problem is as such - Serana just won't wear outfits I made for her, neither using the built-in system, or NFF's rendition of it. With the built-in version she won't put it on at all, and with NFF she might put it on for a few seconds, and then outfit changes back to her default one. I do have the NFF patch installed, and when I added her I did press the "apply recommended parameters" when importing her into NFF. I tried removing her from the framework, and using the built-in outfit system but she just won't swap from vampire royal armor. Is there anything to be done?
If you have any unpaused menu mods, then those can conflict. Serana hood fix mods can also conflict with the outfit system. The outfit system from this mod is kinda buggy atm regardless so it's probably best to reload to a save that you haven't interacted with SDA's outfit system and instead only keep it NFF's.
Before doing so, make sure that all the conflicting mods I mentioned are removed - it also doesn't hurt to rerun Nemesis/Pandora if you have it. Then import her into NFF with the recommended settings option enabled. Check to make sure that in the follower tweaks menu for her, that "default follow" is enabled. Try using NFF's outfit feature afterwards and see if it works.

small question but how do i make it to where serana doesn't wear anything during intimate scenes i have cbbe installed but she still wears that sleepwear during scenes.
If you gave her things for the outfit system and/or have some other mod adding outfits, then they can conflict. If you're just talking about the CBBE body/bodyslide stuff, then you probably still have it set to nevernude/underwear. If you don't want that, then you have to build your bodyslide to be nude.
oh dam i have no idea what bodyslide is lol i think i just installed cbbe without it cause it just automatically made everyone nude beside serana and as for the outfits i didn't give her any outfits or have outfit mods. edit i forgot to mention i am using nihility serana mod not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Fantastic mod. Just a question, does this mod add a gargoyle conjure spell? It's extremely infuriating cause it auto-attacks the player when it gets friendly fired, I cannot find its origin and this is the only Serana mod I have
I remember running this mod way way early on, and it has been a must have since. Though, I've never played with it as long as I have in this playthrough, and so I'm seeing conversations I've never seen before. One bit of feedback, and apologies if it is something that's been said before, but I feel like after the Dawnguard MSQ is finished, none of the conversations with Serana acknowledge us as a vampire, and especially not as a vampire that she made.
Was that intentional or have I gotten some scripts crossed perhaps? I also noticed that in speaking to her I no longer have the option to ask for a blood potion, but perhaps that's only as a starving vampire, I'm not quite sure.
There isn't any dialogue about you being a vampire but there will be some later in the future for the 5.0 update. For the blood potion feature, there should have been a fix for it in the past. I can try talking to Marty to make sure that it was added and is working just to be safe.
It's always like balancing a house of cards. I checked back on some older saves, and the option to ask for a potion was there, but I don't know what ended up removing it. One of those things where once you notice it's gone, a dozen hours probably passed since it broke.
Aww. Is it okay to leave the date quest where she proposes hanging until you decide you want to marry? Or does it eventually expire? Or if not, do you know how much content is locked behind marriage?
