    FAQ:

Q: Does it work with R.A.S.S., Wet and Cold and other similar mods which add shader effects?
A: Yes. In fact it should complement any such mods.

Q: Does it add effects in rain or snow?
A: Yes, since version 1.1.0. It's disabled by default. I still recommend using ENB rain wet surfaces instead of this since it applies effects to the entire scene not just characters.

Q: Why do some objects reflect less light or none at all?
A: Specular map textures define how much light is reflected on different areas of each mesh, some meshes may have specularity disabled altogether - it's up to the artist that designed it. There are many tutorials for editing these or you can grab a replacer.

I know this is a long shot of a request, but is there any chance this could be ported over to Skyrim LE?

I would love this, too.  A pipe dream, I'm sure.  :'(

This mod is just perfect and it looks so good too, on top of that, I can enable rain option it in the .ini file.

Nope, it was working properly before the update but now, it doesn't. Sadly we would need to wait for a new version of this.

It kinda works for me on 1.6.1170 but it causes an artifact (of sorts) with Wet Function Redux SE whenever WFR SE updates the character's wetness every cycle. I don't use this because of that.

It always works in first person mode, but in third person mode it randomly works sometimes and sometimes not.

It gives me an error message that it doesn't work after 1.6.6x when starting up the game (despite the fact that I installed the one that should).
So if I am to believe it, then no, it doesn't work.

It sometimes works, but I don't know which factor decides when

Seems to work fine for me on 79. Looks a bit too glossy on clothes, but that's alright since it encourages actually taking them off before going for a swim as you would in real life.

I made alternative Oily Skin if you want simple oily skin without changing hair or armor. It's similar to wet function but without heavy script.

Sometimes doesn't work with some waters added by mods. For example Breezehome's bath. What can I do to make these waters perceived?

Sorry if this is dumb, but if I already use an enb preset that has the wet effect, is there any reason to be using this as well?

It depends on you really. This mod just aims to add wet textures to your character. ENB's adds to everything.

I wish this mod added the effect to everything like ENB does.  I really like that effect but can't afford the fps hit of an ENB!

The point is to add specularity effects to individual characters when they're in water. ENB can only apply the effect to the entire scene in certain weathers. This is not a replacement for the ENB effect. There's the optional weather feature, but I made it very clear in the sticky that it's only for chars and you should be using ENB for that anyway.

I see what you mean.  I see that his is more of a compliment mod to ENB but also usable on its own.

Thank you for providing it and making it a skse plugin!

I think ENB cannot apply the wet effect when the player gets soaked in a river but the weather is clear. That's where this mod steps in. Am I right?

I'm surprised as to how simple yet innovative this mod is. Always loved the tiny detail of having my gears look a little soaked whenever my character dipped to a body of water, reminds me of Valheim. Works right out of the box with its intended effects. Endorsed.

I  like wet effects redux but none of the mods are as good as this mod has the character wetness effect
Is there any way to always keep the skin wet?? please that will be the GOAT mod for me

only thing i can think of is maybe play around with the ini file ? but still it wouldn't be like always. i quess that's not the idea of the mod, cause u know , kinda stupid and immersion breaking to look wet and soaked all the time :D
