Thank you so much for all the kind words! I might not be responding, but I am definitely reading them (and sending them to my friends and the people who helped make this happen) <3

If you need help with a puzzle or want to see how to get certain character endings, here is the walkthrough!

played this with bare feet and it was absolute cinema.
didn't play something offering this much quality since Enderal.

    Author Ria is utterly awesome

I wanted to say that this is a wonderfully made mod, and I'm getting a strong Myst vibe from it.
I am finding it near impossible to play using an alternate start mod that began near Riften, especially with the survival and Wounds mods enabled. I've had to resort to using TGM because my character's low-level survivability is just not sufficient.
Would it be possible to increase the duration of the provided water-breathing potions to one hour?

Also, would love to have Tilael as a follower XD

God. DAMN. I honestly don't even know how to put my experience with this mod into words, but I'll try.

The feeling of going into this mod blind was surreal; It had me hooked from the moment I talked to Cayrice, Peletius, Tilael, and Yineel, and it only stuck its claws deeper into me as it went on. I won't go into too many details since I don't want to accidentally spoil it for anyone reading through the posts here, but the beautiful level design, the puzzles, the feeling of exploration as I meticulously searched every area knowing that if I didn't there would probably be real consequences for the rest of the group (I must have spent 20 or so minutes in the main room of Tilael's main section trying to find You-Know-Who after already grabbing the Varla stone), it was all amazing. I was so glad that I took my time to explore and got the "true" ending on my first go, and it felt so bittersweet to see everyone leave to go off and continue their lives after it was all over.
I silent as the fact that it was over sank in, and I honestly feel like I'll never be able to look at Skyrim the same again.

    TLDR: 100/10, cannot recommend enough.

This is by a long way the best thing ever to come out of Skyrim, and probably the best thing to come out of any Bethesda game.

I loved it. I think I did one puzzle in the wrong order, and so it got muddled, as I was looking for the assassin's bags for the argonian character, and the sea elf didn't follow me when she was supposed to, perhaps because of some other mod I have, I guess. But, overall, it was incredible.

I like how you made the argonian's waterbreathing work against him in a water filled dungeon, so he thought he was waiting for an assassin who couldn't breathe water to give up; I sometimes try to design mods and other stories, but never get very far with it, and it can be quite hard to get what you want characters to do to line up with what they would want if they made any sense, and having that argonian argue themself into staying still in that way was a stroke of genius.

    Thank you so much, Everglaid!

I've held off on playing Sirenroot until now; not sure why but BOY I was missing out.

I genuinely think this might be my single favorite dungeon-crawler quest mod. There are plenty of other quest mods out there that take a lot longer to complete, but few are as polished and artful as Sirenroot is. The environment within the dungeon is truly unique; the gameplay was engaging and fresh without being jarring, and as for what really stood out to me even more?

The soundtrack was beautiful, and the other adventurers were all great characters! I didn't have long with them, but their writing and VAs breathed life into them in such a way that when I got to the end of the quest all I wanted was to spend more time with them! Shout out to Peletius's VA, all of them were wonderful but to me there was just something extra enjoyable about hearing such a noticeable accent to his words. It really fit with his 'lifelong sailor' character-type.

10/10 mod, would love to see the characters again.
Especially Tilael! I wonder if there's more to her 'heritage' that we'll see in the future!

    Final results:

    Tilael: Survived!
    Peletius: Survived!
Cayrice: Dead (RIP, I translated the wrong tablets)
    Yineel: Survived, technically (see below)

The only downside was that the mod got a little buggy in the end. And I'm not saying this against the mod; I'm 99% sure this was user error. Even then, the bug was more annoying/immersion-breaking than actually obstructive, and I was able to complete the mod normally.

    Spoiler section below

    Spoiler:
    Show
I went with the illusion option for Yineel's section, but went through all of his dialogue options. After getting the last stone and going back to the main hall, no dialogue initiated around the portal from him or anyone else. When he tried to force-greet the fight after exiting the portal, he would just replay the 'show me proof' dialogue option without the fight starting. Using console commands to add the assassin's letter to my inventory and then giving that to him before entering the portal 'fixed' his dialogue, even though it wasn't the option that was supposed to trigger.

I finished the mod yesterday and I liked it... For some reason it reminded me of those old games on the PS1 ...  Beautiful locations, quite decent companions (I helped everyone) ... Puzzles are quite simple and that's a compliment (because Skyrim is not a game you run to think a lot) ...
Thanks for the experience, I recommend it ...

Zero respect to the mod due to forced underwater sections where you just dont have enough air on legendary, makes 1 life runs impossible if ur going in blind and u just happen to not have a potion anymore.

Brother, are you daft? The mod STARTS with trying to find a solution to swim under water for extended periods of time. I made it through multiple swimming parts without using any potions or magic but then used the waterbreathing spell just so I wouldn't have to heal afterwards, and I'm on legendary. It's not that difficult my guy. Just like any other difficult cave, come prepared or figure it out.

To the mod creator: AMAZING mod. I love the soundtrack, I'm a big music person outside of gaming and it's so refreshing to hear a new soundtrack (and one that goes with the quest)! Thank you!
