THANK YOU!!! I knew something was up meshes were not populating when I was way too close for that to be happening. The Zone looks so much fuller already! I love the .ini comments too btw, lol However, it still seems to top out at only using 8-9GB of my 16GB of VRAM. Do you know any tweaks that could allow it to use more? UPDATE: Apparently the game will only use 8GB at <1440p and will use more at higher resolutions.
hi i seem to have a issue with this mod that after i re-launch the game the mod seemingly stops working? I tried marking the files read only but that does not seem to help either
Added all the files to my Steam version, but see no changes :( All the graphics settings get changed to Epic, while I still have ≈35fps in Rostok, which still crashes the game shortly after a few minutes.
Anyone got the same experience? 12600k with 3070ti :(
Sounds like you may have a hardware issue. Possible RAM. I'm using a 9th gen i7 9700k and a 4070(base), no overclocking. I have never had a crash in this game that sent me to desktop other than one memory leak issue that hasn't happened since 1.1.0. If you have a secondary monitor, I would recommend running task manager or any of your favorite hardware monitoring programs to watch your RAM usage in game. You may have a bad stick or may even need an upgrade. I have 64GB of DDR4 RAM, so it was really strange for me to have a memory leak crash, but programs are meant to only use an allocated amount of RAM before they break.
Thanks, but I highly doubt it's a hardware issue though. The RAM usage does spike, but only in Rostok, eating up 20 GB before crashing (I used GameBar performance monitor). Which judging from the Steam community discussions seems to be a common issue in that location. Any other game works perfectly fine, no crashes or performance issues, to the hardware limits ofc.
if you only have 8gb of vram, you can not run epic textures period with 8 gb. You have to have 10 gb or more depending on resolution. so use high instead. this is info for any future player.
Is it possible that the optional FSR addon did some permanent changes to how FSR works, even after removing the engine.ini? I either never noticed before, which seems unlikely, or since installing this I've been getting odd graphical issues with FSR enabled. When looking around rapidly, the edges of the screen have a weird black box thing going on. Disabling FSR solves it, but then my FPS is horrendous.

Appreciate it!

I've meantime reinstalled this mod, and the game truly does feel smoother with this.
