If any EA app or Play users are seeing an error about unable to write, in the debug window that comes up then it's a permissions error. You will need to take ownership of the EA Games root folder and give your user account modify/write permissions on that folder and apply changes to child objects. If it is still missing some files if you pop over to the modding discord I manually made some of the files that permissions did not allow the mod to create and this fixed it for myself on EA App and some others using EA Play sub and they just drop into the Win64 folder that has the games exe. Most people have had to do both after I worked this out.
If anyone is still facing the same issue and after following all instructions from UE4SS Error and all other methods suggested by everyon else did not fixed it for you, then please do the below steps (Still advised to follow the the UE4SS Error first):
What you need to do is Right click the Jedi Survivor folder, Properties > General section and untick the "Attributes: Read-Only" of the Jedi Survivor folder, apply and ok it, then Open the game and the K function will work correctly this time.
The Read only tick will again be autoticked after closing the game once but the K function will work afterwords anyways.
So while the mod worked perfectly for me, achievements on Steam stopped working. So i uninstalled and then re-downloaded the game. No change. I noticed that some files of this mod were still there even after installing again, so i erased them too. Even after leaving the game mod-free achievements still don't work. Any idea why this could be happening?
Movie Accurate Lightsaber Colors should fix the problem, this also happens whenever you play unmodded, just know that the blue is like cyan, so if you do use it I'd recommend using Indigo for blue.
I followed the instructions and K does not open the menu. Mod not working. NVM FIXED THE ISSUE, had to reinstall the swgame twice. LOVE THE MOD AND EVERYTHING WORKS AS INTENDED!
Downloaded mods wont appear on side bar. I have tried moving them into mods folder and just paks folder but neither are working. I am using the blademasters mod but both are still working the outfits just arent showing up. can anyone help me find out why?
Blademaster makes you use UE4SS 3.0.1 which I believe fails to run main.exe that's responsible for detecting the installed outfits. So when installing new outfits, go in \Jedi Survivor\SwGame\Binaries\Win64\Mods\OutfitManager\dlls\ and run main.exe. It will look through your Paks folder or Paks/~mods/ and find outfit files, it will create a ModManager_ModPaths.sav file in your Save game folder.
lmao i fixed it right before i came back to this comment. Thank you for the quick response though! What I ended up doing was installing outfit manager, installing blademaster, deleting the xinput file, then DELETING my old ~mods folder, making a new one, putting ALL my mods in there, then doing as you said and ran main.exe and FINALLY ALL OF MY MODS ARE WORKING TOGETHER :D
FOR THOSE WHO ARE EXPERIENCING NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE OUTFITS:
Extract the files below from the ZZZZ-Darth Revan folder into the ~mods folder directly. DarthRevan.utoc DarthRevan.pak DarthRevan.ucas
If you simply place the ZZZZ folder into ~mods folder, the system will not trace into the folder and pickup on the abovementioned files. In summary, What to do: 1. Extract/Copy Paste ALL files from ZZZZ-Outfit 2. Put it into Steamapps/Common/JediSurvivor/SwGame/Content/Paks/~mods
What not to do: 1. Copy Paste FOLDER ZZZZ-Outfit into the ~mods folder OR; 2. Copy Paste FOLDER ZZZZ-Outfit into the Paks folder
Not worth until NJ Modding my saber in FO for the first playthrough was fun, but for survivor dealing with Disappearing in cutscenes and the beard removal (UI sucks for that so I can't tell if its a bug or something else) for the trade off of nice sabers is not worth it.
