What this mod changes
- Procedural islands are generated X times bigger (vanilla is 256, the mod allows 512 and 1024)
- Shark spawners are more random around the island
- Some biomes have been mixed (random boars on small islands, random snakes)
- Normal sized islands can be included, but they are not resized
- Custom islands may be added in the world generation with a choice of density, for more surprises !
- Not officially supported in multiplayer mode, but some players have reported it working (both players having the mod enabled and same options selected). Drastically increases the loading / syncing time.
Target save folder (a new folder called Stranded Wide) in
C:\Users\XXX\AppData\LocalLow\Beam Team Games\Stranded Wide\Data
How to install
Harmony version
The new Harmony edition is compatible with any PC edition of Stranded Deep
- Steam
- Epic
- Gamepass
It's coded on version 1.0.31 of Stranded Deep, but should be compatible with the upcoming versions too
This new version is an UMM mod, so it must be installed like the others mods
Non harmony version (beta 4 and lower)
You must have the Stranded Deep version matching the file you download installed
1/ Download the zip file
2/ Backup vanilla files found in YOURSTEAMFOLDER\steamapps\common\Stranded Deep\Stranded_Deep_Data\Managed
Assembly-CSharp.dll
Assembly-CSharp-firstpass.dll
3/ Overwrite the files with the ones in the downloaded archive :
YOURSTEAMFOLDER\steamapps\common\Stranded Deep\Stranded_Deep_Data\Managed
YOURSTEAMFOLDER = Usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam
How to uninstall
1/ remove the UMM mod (beta 5 and upper)
or
2/ use the Steam "Verify files" on Stranded Deep (warning, this will uninstall any other mod)
or
3/ restore your backed up file (only for beta 4 and lower)
The save file is specific to Stranded Wide, so it is safe to uninstall, be sure to restart Stranded Deep after uninstallation
Compatibility
Be sure to update the mods as soon as possible for better compatility
Compatible with any of my UMM mods, probably others through UMM too
If you use the map mod, use the latest version, and make sure to check the "Stranded Wide World mode" option

- Steam and Epic have each their own mod, use the right one for the right version
Gameplay
Recommended to play with :
- the InGame map mod with the "Stranded Wide" option checked

World generation can take several minutes depending on your machine
