About this mod
Want a more difficult game? This is it. A complete overhaul of the game's difficulty, progression, gear, consumables, coliseum fights, some mini-games and even the Style Switching mod. Please read all the changes in the description for a full overview.
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
- Changelogs
General Changes:
- Improved Hard and Legend difficulties.
- Readjusted gear properties and values (gear is now more unique, split into tiers and sets have more impact, also there are more set combinations and even a hidden set).
- Guns are dangerous, always carry gun resistance armor with you.
- Readjusted food/medicine cost and recovery values to be more appealing.
- Readjusted sodas buffs potency and duration. Weak sodas last longer, powerful sodas don't last long (but there are food items at Poppo that cost a lot and offer an increased duration, though you can only carry a few at a time).
- Most Story Bosses and some mini-bosses have more hp and damage.
- Kuranosuke Hattori uses Yagami's Crane and Tiger moves.
- Golden Samurai has better spear moves.
- Pro boxer enemies (coliseum Knockout Fujiki, Max Yonamine etc) have some extra moves.
- Sango Amon no longer uses the Rocket Launcher (even tho he still has it) and now uses a combination of Joon-gi Han, Someya and Masuzoe's moves.
- Jiro Amon no longer uses the SMG (even tho he still has it) and now uses a moveset similar to Yakuza 6 Jo Amon (minus the drones and exploding robots).
- Increased exp gained from street fights and encounters have up to 7 goons.
- Increased exp gained from karaoke.
- Readjusted skill/stats exp requirements, readjusted description and prerequisite skills for Style Switching.
- Increased Extreme Heat activation cost and drain (extreme heat mode is not longer the "get out of jail" card used to prevent death).
- Start with less attack, defense, health and heat, which means less stats by the end of the game (also reduced attack cap). This makes sets more relevant to the overall game as they will balance out survivability and offensive capability.

- Less obscure Coliseum fight previews. You will know which wrestler or assassin you will face.

- Yuki has full S rank in all categories and improved stats, true to her diamond status.
- Gold hostesses go up to level 35 and are a bit better, to be competitive in the late game.

How to install:
1. Install Ryu Mod Manager (RMM).
2. Run RyuModManager.exe once to generate the mods folder.
3. Choose ONLY ONE of the 3 files (either Yakuza Kiwami 2 Prepare to Die Edition, Yagami Must Die OR Kiryu Must Die Vanilla version).
4. Place the contents of the archive following the folder structure of RMM (Yakuza Kiwami 2 -> mods -> mod folder).
Example: open "Yakuza Kiwami 2 Prepare to Die Edition.rar", open the mods folder inside the archive, place the "Style Switcher KRU", "Style Switcher MJM" and "Kiryu Must Die" folders inside Yakuza Kiwami 2\mods
5. Run RyuModManagerGUI.exe, check the desired mod and have the correct load order, then click "Save".
- For ""Yakuza Kiwami 2 Prepare to Die Edition" you need to load "Style Switcher KRU" first, "Style Switcher MJM" second (only if you want to play as Majima) and "Kiryu Must Die last.
- For "Yagami Must Die" and "Kiryu Must Die Vanilla version" there is no load order as there is only one folder.

Please download and endorse all the above mods if you enjoy playing as Yagami, as it would not be possible without them. My mod only makes the game more difficult and the pack is made only for compatibility sake. I do not claim any of their work and do not wish to profit, this upload is made for entertainment purpose.
This mod pack was made for me, I don't mind taking it down if any of the above creators feel like I've stolen their work, but I'd like to share this in case anyone else feels like the game is too easy and want a fair challenge on Hard and Legend.
My other mods:
Judgment - Yagami Must Die
Lost Judment - Yagami Must Die
Yakuza 6 - Prepare to Die Edition
Yakuza 6 - Rukkard's True Dragon Style
