I have finished Fallout: New Vegas at least four times that I can recall, but have not played it to completion since 2014. This playthrough will comprise the base game and all DLC with a character focused on using energy weapons and speech. If you can't talk your way out of something, start vaporizing!

Once upon a time, Harkness was Chief of Security for Rivet City in the Capital Wasteland. He had a good life: a position of authority, a safe place to live and a wonderful plasma rifle that was truly unique. But one day, all of that changed.

Some snot nosed brat crawled out of Vault 101, made him realize that he wasn’t human but actually an “android,” or “synth,” created in the labs of a place called the Institute, located in the Commonwealth far to the north of the Capital Wasteland. He learned that his real name, or designation was A3-21 and that he had fled the Institute for the relative freedom of the Capital Wasteland.

Now with his true identity revealed, Harkness once again found himself on the run from the Institute and headed west to the Mojave. All was going well with his new found profession as a courier for the Mojave Express. That is, until a fateful night in the town of Goodsprings.
